It’s Champions League night and Celtic are set to go head-to-head with RB Leipzig at Parkhead for the 8pm kick-off.

Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to build on Celtic’s superb draw with Atalanta as he bids to get out of the league phase for the first time in a decade.

Celtic are in superb form and confidence is high, especially after the Bhoys’ win over Aberdeen at Hampden so with that in mind, how would the Celtic boss line up against the team currently sitting second in the Bundesliga?

Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic lineup to face RB Leipzig

Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic starting lineup to face RB Leipzig as the Hoops boss hopes to keep those precious three Champions League points in Glasgow.

Greg Taylor returns to the starting lineup as Alex Valle drops to the bench and it’s a question that the fans want answered by the Celtic boss.

Celtic fans react to Alex Valle being dropped to the bench vs RB Liepzig

It’s fair to say that the omission of Valle has not gone down well with the fans considering the Spaniard’s good form over the last three games.

One Celtic fan said simply, “Taylor??” whilst another said, “Justice for Valle.”

Another Celtic supporter was still confident and posted, “Would’ve started Valle but let’s go!” and another replied to Celtic’s announcement saying, “Why does GT consistently start over Valle? Kid’s done absolutely nothing wrong so far. And Bernardo over Engels/Hatate as well?? Come on man 😭 Either way, mon the hoops 🍀”

Another fan said, “I would have liked Valle in the team but BR obviously has formation in mind that he hopes GT can do better. HH” and another posted, “Why Taylor, Valle has been excellent. I just really don’t see it with Taylor in Europe or in general really poor. But other than that Cmon 💚.”

Celtic fans will be hoping that Rodgers has this call correct. They will also be hoping that the team are victorious against RB Leipzig and take the Hoops one small step closer to getting out of the league phase this season
