Celtic fans have turned their noses up at Johan Mjallby’s suggestion that Graham Potter would be a good fit for the Hoops.

Mjallby admitted he would like to see Potter become the Celtic manager ahead of Jens Berthel Askou, who has been strongly linked following an excellent season in charge of Motherwell.

However, Celtic fans made their views very clear on TalkingPoints and you can also do so by joining the conversation for free.

Celtic fans say they would be ‘better off with Harry Potter’ instead of Graham Potter

Potter is on a short-term contract with the Swedish national team right now but has seen his stock fall after difficult spells with West Ham United and Chelsea.

He is likely to be linked to a number of roles in the summer, but 67 Hail Hail fans don’t want him anywhere near Parkhead.

One fan said: “Pass me the sick bag, please! No!”

A second commented: “Better off with Harry Potter.”

Another wrote: “I think the pressure of Celtic is too much for someone like him right now. We need someone who understands Scottish football and can also adapt to the demands of European football.”

Who would you prefer to become the next Celtic manager?

This supporter added: “His appointment would be another disaster waiting to happen.”

Also in agreement, a fan said: “Definitely not.”

He isn’t the only manager linked with the Bhoys of late. Portugal boss Roberto Martinez has also been mentioned due to his connections with Shaun Maloney from their time at Wigan Athletic and Belgium together.

Martinez is preparing for the World Cup this summer but could be tempted to a return to club management for the first time in over a decade.
