Celtic are streets ahead of every club in Scotland, including Rangers, as they look to make a domestic clean sweep of trophies this season.
With the Scottish Premiership and League Cup in the Celtic trophy cabinet, the fans are looking forward to the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen to complete yet another treble.
The strength of Celtic’s first team squad is unmatched as the domination of Scottish football continues.
Celtic’s success is down to the club’s superb recruitment but as Rangers end yet another season trophyless, Andy Halliday has compared Arne Engels to Rangers’ Nicolas Raskin and made a claim that has been roundly criticised by the Parkhead support.

Andy Halliday claims Nico Raskin would start for Celtic ahead of Arne Engels
Yes, you read that correctly. Halliday believes that Raskin would get a starting place in Celtic’s squad ahead of Arne Engels.
Halliday told Open Goal, “Yes he would [get in Celtic’s midfield]. For Engels. That’s why he’s in the Belgium squad ahead of Engels.
“You keep telling me Engels is a six. That’s all I’ve heard for the last six months.
“There’s not many [from Rangers who would get into Celtic’s team]. You would take Vaclav Cerny in your squad anyway.
“I think you would take Diomande as well. That’s it.”
There is no doubt both are talented players but Engels has proved his mentality, skill and class by picking up two winners medals this season and going toe-to-toe with Europe’s best in the Champions League.
Raskin, however, ends this season trophyless and has competed in Europe’s second-tier competition in the Europa League.
Celtic fans send Andy Halliday a strong message over Arne Engels
Like 67 Hail Hail, Celtic fans are not having Halliday’s claim and sent the Rangers supporting pundit a strong message.
One Celtic fan replied, “Raskin can barely run the length of himself, how is he getting into the fittest, fastest midfield in the country.
“Punditry like this is holding Rangers back, making their supporters think they have decent players.”
Another Celtic fan said:
One Celtic fan said, “Raskin continually makes errors against Celtic that lead to goals – or his own team’s goals being disallowed.
“A couple of good games against the Champions doesn’t mean you can get in the team. Consistently bang average for years.”
And another replied, “Engels is an eight that can fill in as a six. And he’s better than Raskin as an eight without a doubt.
“And Calmac starts over Raskin obviously. And I think you lot forget that Engels is only 21. A couple of years under McGregor and Rodgers and he can be unbelievable.”
And finally:
As Engels proved earlier today, the Celtic midfielder will let his medals do the talking.
