Brendan Rodgers signed ten players when he returned to Celtic in the summer of 2023.
It is likely that many of those deal were far down the line when Ange Postecoglou was still the Celtic Park hotseat but Rodgers was adamant at the time he had the final say on whether or not they would go ahead.
Players like Luis Palma, Maik Nawrocki and Gustaf Lagerbielke have struggled at the Bhoys to make a claim in the Celtic first-team and now find themselves out on loan or stuck on the bench.
But one of those ten 2023 summer signings has vowed to return to Celtic after his loan deal ends and complete some ‘unfinished business’ at Paradise.

Odin Thiago Holm aims to return to Parkhead and ‘be successful at Celtic’
Odin Thiago Holm arrived at Celtic from Valerenga with a reputation of being one of the brightest talents to leave Norway in recent times.
However, after making just 16 appearances for Celtic, Holm was shipped out on loan to Los Angeles FC where he has now sent Brendan Rodgers a message when he returns to the club this summer.
Holm told The Celtic Way, “I still want to go back to Celtic and play, that’s the goal. I signed a new contract before I left for LA. The aim is still to come back and be successful for Celtic and win trophies, just like the current team.
“I am confident in my own ability to do that, and I still see my future at Celtic. I just need to get consistency in the work that I do.
“I have struggled with some injuries up until now, but I came to Los Angeles to play and to gain experience and to gain consistency and make myself ready for when I return to Celtic and be part of the team.”
Odin Thiago Holm vows to ‘make my mark’ at Celtic
When he arrived at Parkhead, Brendan Rodgers told Celtic’s official website that he was ‘delighted’ to have captured his signature.
With just five appearances for the MLS side since his loan move, Holm sounds supremely confident about his Celtic return and says he is looking forward to winning trophies when he returns.
Holm continued, “I am contracted to the club until 2028, and there is still time to make my mark. I watched the club playing Champions League football this season and doing well at that level, and that is where I want to be with Celtic and helping them succeed.
“I want to come back and relaunch my Celtic career. My thoughts are still very much that the club still believes I have a future there.
“I think there is unfinished business for me. It would be nice to be a bigger part of a winning team and compete for trophies.
“That is what every player wants in their career. It is something I want to do.”
At just 22 and contracted until 2028, the young Norwegian still has plenty of time to make his mark at Celtic.
But with Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, Arne Engels, Paulo Bernardo and Luke McCowan all vying for the three midfield places at Celtic, Holm has a lot of work to do to prove he has what it takes to get in ahead of players who are on the brink of delivering a domestic treble at Celtic this season.
