Rangers’ social media team probably did not expect their own pre-match post to become part of the fallout from another Glasgow Derby defeat at Celtic Park.
Celtic beat Rangers to end the Ibrox club’s season and keep themselves on course for a league and Scottish Cup double.
Before kick-off, Rangers posted an aerial image of Celtic Park alongside a blue heart and the hashtag #Awaydays.
But after Celtic’s 3-1 victory, the Ibrox club’s social media team made a hasty, but hilarious, move.

Rangers’ confidence quickly vanished after Celtic Park defeat
The original upload looked like a confident pre-match message before Rangers travelled across Glasgow. Instead, it quickly backfired once the match turned in Celtic’s favour.
And less than 24 hours after their upload, the post was embarrassingly deleted.

The result moved Celtic to within one point of Hearts in the Premiership title race while Rangers dropped out of contention entirely.
That only increased attention on the deleted social media post afterwards. Screenshots quickly spread online as supporters noticed the upload had vanished following full-time.
Celtic’s “Paradise” response summed up the mood online
Celtic’s social media admin wasted little time responding after the victory. The club posted “💚 #ParadiseOnYourMind” as celebrations continued after another huge derby result.
The response immediately connected with supporters because of Rangers’ earlier upload. What started as a confident pre-match message ended with Celtic controlling the online narrative after full-time.
Deleting the original post only added to the reaction. Had it remained online, the moment may have passed quickly. Instead, it became another talking point after a difficult afternoon for Rangers at Celtic Park.
