Celtic’s head of scouting has agreed a move to Swansea, according to a report.
The move comes just weeks after Brendan Rodgers’ sudden resignation, and signals yet another high-profile change at Celtic Park.
Jay Lefevre, 34, joined Celtic from Arsenal in 2019 and worked initially with Neil Lennon and Nick Hammond.
He continued in his role through the spells of Ange Postecoglou and Rodgers, and after much controversy around the club’s recruitment in the summer, the timing of his departure is interesting.
The news comes at the same time as Alan Sheehan’s sacking from the Swans, who sit in 18th place in the English Championship.
Celtic head of scouting Jay Lefevre departs for Swansea City
A wave of Celtic fan protests was triggered by a desperately poor summer transfer window which eventually led to Rodgers’ departure.
Dermot Desmond’s scathing attack on the departed Hoops boss makes it absolutely clear that his departure was acrimonious.

Sacked boss Sheehan was assisted by ex-Hoops defender Darren O’Dea, and previously worked with current Celtic coach Mark Fotheringham.
This summer, they completed the surprise signing of Adam Idah for a reported fee of £7 million, leaving the Hoops in desperate need of attacking options.
Rodgers clearly wasn’t happy with how his squad turned out, infamously comparing his team to a Honda Civic a week before his resignation.
Whether this is as part of a football restructure or simply Lefevre receiving isn’t yet clear, but The Herald’s Stephen McGowan reports that the deal is agreed.
Michael Nicholson has acknowledged that a review of the club’s transfer strategy is necessary, but the club’s exact plans are vague.
This is especially because the Hoops don’t currently have a manager, with Martin O’Neill in temporary charge of the first team.
Kjetil Knutsen, Wilfried Nancy and Kieran McKenna are among the names currently being linked.
