The Celtic fan protests will continue on Thursday night against SC Braga.

The first of three silent protests took place at Celtic Park during the draw against Hibs where the vast majority of supporters participated.

On Thursday night, Celtic fans will start a 29-minute protest during the Europa League clash with SC Braga as fans highlight the 29 days of silence the board have had since the Open Letter was published.

And now, as the action ramps up, Chris Sutton has told the Celtic board what will be the ‘key month’ for them as fan protests continue.

Chris Sutton tells the Celtic board why January is ‘key’ for fan protests

The summer transfer window was met with fury by Celtic supporters and, in particular, transfer deadline day.

However, Sutton reckons that if the board do not get their act together in the January transfer window, that could be pivotal in terms of fan protests.

Sutton told The Warm Up, “The fan protests I think will carry on. But I think we’ve got to wait till January. January is going to be the key month, isn’t it?

“To see what happens in January in terms of the number of games coming around. I think Celtic’s got 20-odd games and Brendan will no doubt continuously be asked about his future but I think he can just he can just bat that away.

“It’s what happens in January in terms of recruitment.”

Celtic fans’ next silent protest vs Motherwell

After Thursday night, Celtic fans will hold their third but final protest at Parkhead against the board.

On Sunday, it will be 32 days of silence from the Celtic board should they not comment or reach out to the support since the Open Letter was published.

A 32-minute silent protest will be held to mark this against The Well and it is likely to cause more headlines across the country.

But all the Celtic board need to do to avoid this is speak up. Have dialogue with supporters and let them know the plan.
