Martin O’Neill will take charge of his last game at Celtic against Dundee at Parkhead on Wednesday night.
The legendary Celtic boss returned to Parkhead as O’Neill looked to steady the ship after Brendan Rodgers’ sharp Hoops exit.
Big domestic wins against Hibs and Rangers were complemented by Celtic’s Europa League victory at Feyenoord as O’Neill proved he has still got the credentials to manage at the top level.
And as O’Neill prepares to leave Celtic with his reputation as a legend reinforced, Chris Sutton has hit back at the snipes he’s been hearing about his old Hoops gaffer.

Chris Sutton is fuming at what people are saying about O’Neill’s Celtic tactics
O’Neill is often referred to as a manager who just gives motivational speeches whilst his coaches and backroom staff deal with training and tactics.
And Sutton simply wasn’t having any of it.
Sutton told The Warm Up, “In terms of him getting everybody at the club pulling in the same direction and galvanising, my view, people say about Martin, he’s not a tactician, I always get a little bit annoyed about that.
“Because I think that’s disingenuous. I think that is unfair. Because if you look at Martin and his managerial career, and the way that he built himself up and enhanced his reputation.
Which player has impressed you the most since Martin O’Neill took over?
“Starting, I think he was Grantham, and then he went to Wickham and got them into the Football League. And that’s not an easy thing to do.
“The job which he did at Leicester City, he had a difficult start at Leicester City, he’ll tell you himself, I don’t think he won at any of his first eight or 10 games.
“You know, who knows what would have happened in this day and age had he had that start nowadays?
“He may have ended up not, not carrying on, but Leicester City were glad that he that he did and he was highly sought-after from big clubs and he chose Celtic.”
Martin O’Neill’s record at Celtic this season
Martin O’Neill’s overall record since he arrived at Celtic for this interim spell has been almost flawless. Domestically, he is unbeaten and in Europe there was just one disappointment.
