The elusive Celtic Park mole has captured the imagination of the vast majority of the Hoops support.
Many fans have an inkling of who it is after Brendan Rodgers’ last two Celtic press conferences but, as yet, the club are yet to comment on it.
Unfortunately, fans will probably never officially find out which Celtic official briefed against Rodgers but the story is certainly nowhere near close to going away.
And next up to slam the press release is Celtic hero and former captain, Paul Lambert.

Paul Lambert slams Celtic Park mole as ‘absolutely criminal’
Lambert was part of the famous Celtic side who reached Seville and won the club’s first treble since the Jock Stein era.
And even he was angered as he sent a message to the Celtic Park mole.
Lambert told the Daily Record, “I think the leaks are a nonsense. Whoever or whatever’s happened – it is absolutely criminal.
“Everybody has to stick together – the fans, the players, the team, manager, board. That’s the only way you have success is if everybody’s together. If you’re in sync and you’re aligned with everything then you’ll not go too far wrong because they’re a powerful club Celtic.
“They’re so much stronger together than what they are separated. I know the disappointment of the transfer window, sometimes you go for players that you can’t get, sometimes they’re overpriced or those sort of things.
“But you never really know, unless you’re in the crux of it, what’s happening behind the scenes.”
Lambert says Celtic will be ‘stronger’ after criticising Parkhead ‘leak’
Lambert is also not buying into the whole Celtic are fractured nonsense either as the Hoops legend says his old club will come out of this debacle ‘stronger’.
The former Celtic captain continued, “But if there is that kind of leaking coming out then it’s really, really poor. It doesn’t matter who it is.
“It’s poor because the club is one and everybody’s one. It’s a really brilliant club and you certainly don’t want any leaks like that to happen.
“I’m pretty sure knowing the Celtic support and the way they are and the club being the way it is, everyone will pull together and they’ll be stronger. I don’t have any worries about the club having a massive divide.”
Brendan Rodgers seemed relaxed about the whole affair at his recent press conference as the Celtic boss looks forward to the Premier Sports Cup tie against Partick Thistle.
Will fans ever officially find out who went behind Rodgers’ back to the press. Probably not. But it’s clear that this story will rumble on in Celtic circles for a long time yet.
