Former Celtic captain Scott Brown will take his Fleetwood Town side into a huge FA Cup replay at home after earning a 1-1 draw away to Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon.
The Fishermen took care of Queens Park Rangers, a division above them, in the last round and have now competed well against English League One promotion hopefuls Wednesday on their own patch.
Promise Omochere, who Brown signed during the summer transfer window, grabbed the winner vs QPR and was the hero again today when a 52nd-minute header gave his side a surprise lead. The 22-year-old was euphoric in celebration and even got a booking for his efforts after rushing to meet travelling supporters.

A Josh Earl own goal then bailed out the Owls 18 minutes from time to set up a massive replay decider at Highbury Stadium.
Fleetwood’s league form has undoubtedly been mixed in Brown’s debut season as a manager but the former Bhoys captain, a born winner, is making his fans dream with this FA Cup run.
They’ll now at least enter the draw of the Fifth Round of the competition and the chance becomes greater that a monster tie awaits them should they win the replay.
Manchester City, Leeds United and Leicester City have already booked their place with more Premier League sides likely to join them.
The draw for the last 16 takes place on January 30th, with the ties due to be played in the midweek of March 1st.
Fleetwood’s Fourth Round replay is expected to take place in the midweek of February 8th.
If Brown manages to guide his team to a famous victory, it will be the first time in the club’s history that they’ve reached the Fifth Round, following up from their Fourth Round first this time around.
The best of luck to you Scott!
