Former Celtic attacker Scott Sinclair has no doubt that the Hoops will defeat Rangers in Saturday’s Glasgow derby, reports the Scottish Sun.
Sinclair, who is now at Preston, knows a thing or two about how to defeat Rangers. In his three and a half years with the Hoops he scored four goals against the Ibrox side. He was part of some memorable derby wins, such as the 5-1 victory at Ibrox in 2017.
The Celtic invincible, who was a key man in the unbeaten domestic season of 2016-17, feels that the Hoops will defeat the Ibrox side because Celtic have players who know what it is all about to win a Glasgow derby.
“Great players who know what it takes”
“Celtic will win. They have great players who know what it takes. You can be sure that the likes of Scott Brown and Callum McGregor will have whoever starts the game well aware of how big it is. But players understand a game like this instinctively” Sinclair said, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.

Scott Sinclair was already a favourite of Celtic fans because of his exploits on the pitch. Now he will be a favourite for his comments off the pitch. It is good to see a former Celtic player talk up the club. Even better that he confidently predicts that we will defeat Rangers.
Good to see former player backing club
Too many former Celtic players seem content to have a go at the club these days, which is a pity. It is good to see that this isn’t the case with Sinclair.

As for the game on Saturday, it is not hard to see why Sinclair is confident that the Hoops will get the job done. The players Sinclair mentioned, Brown and McGregor, they will be vital to the Celtic cause. As Sinclair says, they will leave the other starters in the game, who may perhaps be making their derby debuts, in no doubt about the importance of the fixture.
Hopefully Sinclair’s prediction is right, and he can celebrate what would be a vital Hoops win.
In other news, Scott Brown is already impressed with Diego Laxalt.
