Celtic have responded to the backlash after their forced relocation of fans to accommodate the Bhoys.
From nowhere, Celtic’s decision to relocate the Bhoys was communicated by email last week, as the window for season ticket renewals opened.
The club cited “new safety and operational requirements” as the cause of their relocation of the fan group, who traditionally sat directly across the Green Brigade in the Jock Stein stand.
Celtic’s lack of communication was heavily criticised by fans being moved out of the North Curve against their will… they have now responded to those fans.

Celtic assure fans: you will remain in rail seating
Via @CelticResearch on X, the response, sent in an email to affected supporters, said: “Firstly, we want to apologise sincerely to you for any confusion or lack of clarity around this process and for any upset caused to you.
“Your support of the club is hugely important to us and never taken for granted.

“We recognise your longstanding commitment to the club and we want to do all we can to ensure that you are back with us next season.
“We want to be as open, clear and transparent as possible and outline a number of important points.
“Already, through this process, we have found that a number of supporters wish to relocate out of the Rail Seating section. However we fully understand that many fans such as yourself will not wish to.
“We want to be very clear that through this relocation programme we are able to confirm that your seat for next season will REMAIN within the Rail Seating section, should you wish this to be the case – albeit seating arrangements will change.”
Along with assuring supporters that they can stay in the rail seating section, the remainder of the statement also covers the issue of supporters standing in seating sections.
It also acknowledges that the Bhoys being moved will improve the matchday atmosphere, though some in the Jock Stein stand would possibly dispute this.
The club’s apology will provide at least some consolation to supporters who were stunned to read the update last week.
