Valencia and various other clubs want Celtic target Aurele Amenda
Amenda appears to be a man in demand as a report from Super Deportes reveals which clubs are all targeting the Celtic-linked defender.
The report says, “The Swiss international defender would be pressuring the Eintracht to open up to the possibility of a loan until the end of the season.
“In recent hours, from Scotland, it has been reported not only of Celtic’s willingness to take him, but also of the footballer’s willingness to leave and pressure in that direction to his club.
“And they are not the only ones, so do entities like Mainz, Nice, Lorient and Torino in Germany, France and Italy. For days, in the club they are aware that the option of Amenda is complicated.”
If Celtic want to get a deal done, it appears that Amenda is open to a move to Glasgow. Celtic fans will be hoping that if he is on O’Neill’s list, Nicholson will be able to deliver.
Who is Aurele Amenda?
Amenda is a towering centre-back who stands at 6ft 4 inches tall and can play on both sides of a defensive partnership.
A Swiss international, Amenda has four caps for his country and has ambitions of playing in this summer’s World Cup in Mexico, Canada and the USA.

The 22-year-old is contracted to 2029 and has made 25 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt including four in this season’s Champions League.
With game time limited, it’s clear Amenda just wants a temporary move and Celtic could be the ideal fit for the youngster.
