Celtic loanee Jonathan Afolabi suffered a bit of a disappointment on Tuesday night. The striker, who recently move to Dundee for the rest of the season, was set for his competitive debut for the Dens Park club against Forfar in the Betfred Cup.
However, just a few hours before the game was set to kick-off, it was postponed. As reported by BBC Sport, Forfar forfeited the tie after one of their players tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. The game was then awarded to Dundee by a score of 3-0.
Will need to wait another few days for debut
Afolabi will now need to wait for his competitive Dundee debut, which could be on Saturday when they take on Brora Rangers.

This will be a bit frustrating for the Hoops striker. He would have been desperate to show what he can do on the pitch, and get in amongst the goals after so far not making the breakthrough at Celtic Park.
However, the SPFL made the right decision on this occasion. There is no point in playing games when there could be a risk of the virus spreading.
This is going to be a very odd season, and it would not be a shock to see more than one game cancelled due to these circumstances in the weeks and months ahead.
Players and fans will need to get used to situation
Players and fans will need to get used to this situation, even though it is not ideal for anyone. Therefore, Afolabi has to wait to make his debut for the Dens Park side.

Hopefully the game against Brora goes ahead, and Afolabi gets the nod to start. With Celtic not in action this weekend, Neil Lennon will no doubt be taking notice of how well his loan players do.
A win and a few goals for Afolabi would be a good start to the player’s time at Dundee. It would no doubt impress the Hoops boss as well.
In other news, Neil Lennon hopes Albian Ajeti can feature against Rangers.
