Celtic’s trip to the USA has been excellent for the club in terms of promoting the brand and allowing the fans based in the country the opportunity to see their heroes.
The last time Celtic travelled to the States was in 2010 when Neil Lennon took his team to face Man United, Philadelphia Union, Seattle Sounders and Sporting Lisbon.
This time, the Hoops are set to face Manchester City and Chelsea after defeating DC United 4-0 in the opening game of the tour in Washington.
And it was in the capital that Celtic got back to its roots and extended its charitable are to SOME with a €10,000 donation for the great work that they do in their local community.
Now in North Carolina, Celtic have another superb gesture to yet another local charity.
Celtic’s $10,000 donation to PORCH
PORCH is a charity that helps to provide fresh food and provisions to families and schools throughout Chapel Hill to ensure that nutritious food is available to those who cannot afford it.
And, aided by Nicolas Kuhn, Celtic presented a cheque for $10,000 to help the charity continue its great work for the local area.
Celtic is planning another donation on the next step of the US Tour on the 27th when they go and face Chelsea.

Brendan Rodgers will take his Bhoys to Indiana to face the Premier League club where the Foundation will make another donation to a worthy cause.
With the tour expected to bring in a significant sum of money to Celtic, the fact the club are ploughing some of it straight back into worthy causes is a great gesture.
With Celtic ending their US adventure after the Chelsea fixture, there is no doubt that the club has continued to build and retain new friendships across The Pond.
