Celtic fans will be feeling a sense of relief after their side saw off Falkirk in a 5-2 thriller to reach the semi-finals of the Premier Sports Cup.

Despite Ross MacIver and Finn Yeats firing the visitors into a half-time lead, Paulo Bernardo’s initial equaliser was complemented by doubles from Adam Idah and Nicolas Kuhn as the Bhoys found a way to turn the tide.

Brendan Rodgers took the blame for a lack of fluency at times in his side’s performance, pinning the ‘disconnection’ on making a raft of changes to his side that disrupted their flow ever so slightly.

Nevertheless, the leading cast ensured Celtic’s passage into the semi-final, where Aberdeen will meet the reigning Scottish champions at Hampden for a place in the final.

With another tilt at silverware well underway, the men responsible for booking the Hoops’ progression have taken to Instagram.

Paulo Bernardo and Nicolas Kuhn take to Instagram

Taking to the social media platform, Bernardo reacted to his classy display with a selection of pictures, some depicting him scoring the opening goal, with the caption ‘Semi final’ (with a soon emoji, four leaf-clover and green heart attached).

In the responses, Alex Valle offered a couple of flame emojis after his teammates’ performance. Meanwhile, Idah chipped in with a heart-eye symbol and flame, sharing his delight at his contribution.

Kuhn also got in on the act, posting his own account of events, which read ‘Semifinals!!’ with a four-leaf clover, two A emojis for his assist double and two footballs representing his brace.

Maik Nawrocki said what the Celtic fans are all thinking in the comments, labelling the German winger a ‘rising star’ amid his 11th goal contribution in eight matches.

Adam Idah’s reaction to Falkirk double heroics

Claiming his third goal in a week, Idah took to Instagram with a simple message stating: ‘Into the semi’s !!’ after his excellent contribution at Celtic Park.

Joe Hart made his feelings clear in response, writing ‘DO NOT MIND IT’ to his old teammate, showing he is still cheering on the Bhoys from afar.

Despite frustrating periods against Falkirk, Idah’s second goal sparked class scenes that made everything worthwhile as Celtic booked their place in the last four. Now, St Johnstone await on league duty this weekend, and it will be intriguing to see who is favoured to lead the line.
