Celtic have posted a picture of Ange Postecoglou with BOTH of the trophies he’s won in his debut season on these shores.
Much has been made in the last few days about the achievement of Postecoglou’s squad in the Scottish Premiership, and rightly so.
However, it’s almost gone under the radar that the club are in fact double winners this season, having also lifted the Scottish League Cup.
And the club reminded everyone this afternoon by uploading a picture of Postecoglou with both pieces of silverware in the Celtic Park trophy room for the first time.
That’s a beautiful sight to go with the many photos from Hampden in December and Paradise at the weekend of the manager holding both trophies separately.
The image is already being shared and liked by thousands of supporters as they relish the opportunity to extend the good feeling at the club to another afternoon.
Celtic have racked up treble after treble in recent years, so it could be easy to take this for granted, but nobody should.
The situation into which Postecoglou walked marks this season out as a fine achievement, up there with some of the best moments this generation of Celtic supporters have ever celebrated.
Were it not for a painful period of extra time in the Scottish Cup semi-final, Postecoglou could have been on the brink of a treble himself.
That’ll be next year’s lofty goal no doubt, as the Bhoys looks to compete well in every single tournament they enter after the summer.
For now, we can continue to enjoy what’s already been achieved!
