Celtic will travel to face St Mirren at the SMiSA Stadium in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup after a comprehensive victory over Buckie Thistle in round four.

Paulo Bernardo opened the scoring before Odin Thiago Holm, Kyogo Furuhashi, Luis Palma and Rocco Vata ensured a safe passage to the next phase on home soil.

Of course, the draw for the fifth round of the competition was made on Sunday night, throwing up a difficult test in Paisley against St Mirren for Brendan Rodgers’ men if they are to get through to the quarter-final.

The Scottish Cup has produced drama and some brilliant stories within Celtic history and no club has won it more than the Hoops, who have claimed the trophy a record 41 times.

Celtic’s Scottish Cup draw details; date, time and TV coverage

The Hoops will face off against St Mirren in Paisley at 2pm on Sunday 11th February as they bid to defend the Scottish Cup.

Furthermore, Celtic fans who cannot attend the match will be able to follow all the action live on Viaplay as the holders have been selected for TV coverage alongside three other ties in the fifth round [Scottish FA Official Website].

Greenock Morton will face Motherwell live on BBC Scotland on Friday 9th February; meanwhile, Scott Brown’s Ayr United will head to Ibrox in the late kick-off on Saturday, which will also broadcast on Viaplay.

Airdrieonians round off the action against Heart of Midlothian after the conclusion of the Bhoys’ tie in Paisley in a Sunday 5pm showing on BBC Scotland.

Nevertheless, most Celtic supporters won’t care too much what goes on elsewhere as long as their side progress to the quarter-final, which will likely be drawn at some point on the Sunday evening or thereabouts.

Hopefully all can go to plan and Rodgers’ side can take one step closer to bringing the trophy back to Glasgow’s east end.
