Celtic have lost a number of young and talented players over the years.
The most recent player set to leave the club is young Celtic Academy graduate Daniel Cummings.
Cummings has impressed Celtic fans recently after his goal-scoring exploits for Celtic B had the Parkhead support telling Brendan Rodgers to get a new deal done for the talented forward.
As it stands, it looks like Cummings is set to join West Ham, which leaves Rodgers with a dilemma on how to replace the Scotland youth international.
But it seems that there is a player that is on Celtic’s radar as the Parkhead club scours Scotland for some of the country’s best young talents.

Celtic track young Dundee United starlet Owen Stirton
The Daily Record reports that Celtic scouted young Dundee United and Scotland U17 forward, Owen Stirton, with Tosh McKinlay watching him in the goalless draw with Kelty Hearts.
The youngster is currently on loan at League One side, Montrose where he has scored six goals in eight appearances since joining the club in January.
Stirton has also scored in the Scottish top-flight after Jim Goodwin game him his debut in the 3-0 win over Ross County.
The young striker was brought on in the 89th minute of the game and scored with virtually his first touch of the ball which left Goodwin beaming.
Stirton has scored eight goals in 19 senior appearances in his young career so far. He was also on the Dundee United bench in Celtic’s win over the Tayside club in January.
Jim Goodwin rates Celtic target Stirton highly
Speaking to The Courier after Stirton’s goal-scoring debut, Jim Goodwin praised the youngster saying his rise to stardom was real ‘Roy of the Rovers stuff’.
Goodwin said, “I was delighted for him, although he will get a bit of stick off the boys for coming over to me, no doubt.
“It was a really proud moment for the kid and for his family. To score at that end, in front of the home supporters; it’s “Roy of the Rovers” stuff.”
“Since coming in to the club 18 months ago as a full-time player, Owen has been with my first-team because I think that much of him.
“Physically, he’s still developing and has a lot to do in terms of the technical aspect of the game. But I believed he would get an opportunity in the last few minutes.
“There’s no better way to get your first Premiership goal – just stick your head on the ball two yards out. I’m sure he will remember that moment for a long time.”
Stirton signed a new deal at Tannadice this year keeping him tied to the club until 2028 so it seems the youngster is very much a part of Goodwin’s plans going forward.
