Celtic fans love an academy prospect progressing into the first-team.
Kieran Tierney was adored by the Celtic support as the fullback terrorised opponents when he made the breakthrough and won treble after treble before departing for Arsenal.
Callum McGregor is now captain of the club and James Forrest has enjoyed immense success and both are living Celtic legends and, most recently, Stephen Welsh has enjoyed some success as a Hoops first-team squad member.
However, there is one player at the Celtic Academy who fans are raving about and after his exploits at the weekend, he has become a big talking point over the last few days.

Daniel Cummings’ incredible Celtic B record
Daniel Cummings has been tearing up the Lowland League with the Celtic B team, and after his recent performance at the weekend, the young Scotland youth international is the name on the Hoops fans’ lips.
Cummings’ hat trick took his goal tally to 26 in 30 appearances, and it has set the Celtic fans alight as they send Brendan Rodgers a clear message about the young striker.

Cummings’ superb form has attracted the attention of clubs around Europe, but as the young Celt looks West Ham bound, the fans are not too happy at losing a player with such high potential.
One Celtic fan said, “Why isn’t this boy getting called up to the first team? Get him signed up, put him through a first team preseason and give him game time.”
Another Hoops supporter agreed and posted, “The money we waste on players with very little going for them is astounding in comparison to the chances we give our youth prospects.
“You can’t tell me Cummings couldn’t have been playing minor roles in a fair few games this season.”
However, another Celtic fan took issue with Cummings getting games for the B team: “Why is Cummings getting game time ahead of players we should be developing if he has signed for West Ham?”
Whilst no deal has been finalised over the youngster’s Celtic future, it does look like Cummings may well be another academy talent that got away.
