Celtic season ticket holders will be given time to buy additional packages for the Europa League group stage.
The club recently announced that holders will be able to purchase two more three-match packages for the games against Cluj, Lazio and Rennes on top of their own ticket.
They say there will be a purchase window open from Thursday at 2pm until 9am on Friday when fans can get tickets for other people.
The Hoops face Romanian champions Cluj on October 3rd before taking on Lazio and Rennes before the end of November.
It would be good to see Celtic Park packed in the Europa League
It is good to see the club are rewarding season ticket holders for their loyalty in recent years. They are often criticised for taking these supporters for granted and not giving them enough benefits along with their season tickets, but this time they can’t really be faulted.
However, the ones losing out on this occasion may well be non season ticket holders. It is not yet clear whether the three-match Europa League package will go on general sale and that will be a frustration to some fans.
One positive is that a lack of a general sale would hint that sales are going well for the three matches. The reasonable price of £84 for all three matches should ensure that Celtic Park is relatively full. But seeing it jam packed really would be great and it would undoubtedly give the players a lift.
Our home form is going to be crucial in navigating our way to the last 32. Last season we took six of our nine points at Celtic Park. A similar showing this season would put us in good shape to repeat the feat of the last two years and qualify for European football after Christmas.
