Celtic should be aiming to bring in Rennes defender Ramy Bensebaini.
Kicker report Borussia Mönchengladbach are interested in the Algerian international. A deal of 10 million euros will seal the deal for the recent Africa Cup of Nations winner.
He is in the price range of the Hoops and will help build the defence.
Celtic must ask Ramy Bensebaini question
The 24-year-old will be sought after in the coming years.
Bensebaini is in dreamland, winning the French Cup with Rennes and AFCON with Algeria.

The left-sided defender is a key man for club and country.
The Hoops are in the middle of a defensive rebuild at the moment.
Bensebaini can walk into any position at Celtic and be first name on the team sheet. The Hoops desperately need a right-back, and the versatile Algerian could certainly fit that role.
Bensebaini is in the mould of the type of player that the Hoops faithful want in future players. He is young, a cup winning international with club and country and has massive potential.

The move is a no brainer and it’s surprising no Scottish teams are interested with the spotlight being on Rennes men recently.
However, if Celtic want a natural right-sider the club can look closer at Rennes and Algeria.
Mehdi Zeffane is another option for Celtic
Former Rennes right-back and Algerian international Mehdi Zeffane is available. He is a free agent after his release this summer from les rouges et noirs. Perhaps he’s a more Celtic like target as there isn’t a transfer fee.
Nevertheless, Zeffane is a weaker player than his international counterpart.

Despite having arguably his best season, Zeffane is more flawed defensively than Bensebaini.
However, like Bensebaini, he is a double cup winner for the season which counts for a lot.
Zeffane’s main strengths are his physical attributes as a wing-back with pace. One of these Algerian stars will hopefully end up in the green and white this coming season.
