Celtic must start Nir Bitton tonight in the nailbiting Champions League qualifier against Cluj.
The Israeli international is stepping in for absentees and injuries so far. Without breaking a sweat, Bitton is sailing through the fixtures.
However, Neil Lennon may want to bring in Christopher Jullien or even Jozo Simunovic.
Don’t break what’s not broken though, so Bitton should get the nod.
Celtic must continue with Nir Bitton against Cluj
The 27-year-old midfielder has been a bit part player since a return from lengthy injury.

Injuries, transfers and suspensions is allowing Bitton some time in the team. He has partnered Kristoffer Ajer in competitions so far and came out strong. Even against St Johnstone, Bitton helped build from the back to start attacks.
With Celtic’s current midfield build-up, some will have feared his time at the club may be over. However, he is now one of the most senior members of the squad with a lot of experience.
His versatility and composure are what’s keeping him in the squad for so many years and managers.

Critics will have their issues with Bitton such as his pace as well as him being played out of position.
Something that will irk some is that the Hoops haven’t really been tested yet.
Nir Bitton can prove Celtic test
The Hoops should go for the same team that played against St Johnstone on Saturday.
It was a rout and everything worked and the team should stick together.
The dynamite midfield is proving too much to handle for a few teams early doors.

Likewise, Bitton shouldn’t be dropped and he must be able to show he can be tested against Cluj.
He isn’t unfamiliar with playing in defence in European qualifiers as a match against Rosenborg away two years ago has shown.
The Bhoys narrowly won the tie away from home, proving he can play.
The only reason he should be dropped is if standards rightfully drop.
They haven’t so far so there is no excuses to leave him out the team for tonight’s match.
