Celtic supporters liaison officer John Paul Taylor has confirmed some good news for Celtic supporters going to Leipzig.

After the game against RB Leipzig on Wednesday, Celtic fans will not be held back inside the Red Bull Arena.

Anyone who has ever been on an away day in Europe will know that ‘holdbacks’ are pretty commonplace.

They are a pretty traditional part of following Celtic away in UEFA competition.

Just a fortnight ago, Celtic fans were kept inside Legia Warsaw’s stadium long after full-time.

But thankfully, no similar situation will take place in Germany.

The SLO tweeted the news, alongside some further information for before kick-off.

He said: ‘On Wednesday, there will be shuttle busses to take fans to the stadium from Marktplatz. These will drop fans off at the train station after the match. There will be no holdback at full time.’

It promises to be a really good away day for Celtic supporters.

While the trip to the Santiago Bernabeu on matchday six is the most appetising, Leipzig perhaps gives us the best opportunity to earn three points on the road.

It promises to be an enthralling evening.

Let’s hope the Celtic support are bouncing out of the ground come full-time.

In other news, Ange gave a brilliant response earlier when asked about his current relationship with Dermot Desmond
