It took a while, but Celtic midfielder David Turnbull has made a terrific start to life at the club.

With his blistering performances over December, Turnbull has quickly become a fan favourite at Paradise.

He’s had to overcome the disappointment of an initial transfer being called off. Then, he contracted Covid-19 (Daily Record).

However, it was announced today that Turnbull has won the Premiership Player of the Month title for December. The 21-year-old has scored 3 goals and set up 2 (WhoScored?). His blistering form contributed to a turnaround of Celtic’s form last month.

Alongside Ismaila Soro, Turnbull has proved a very popular figure in the Green and White. In Lennon’s diamond formation, the Celtic midfield has looked rejuvenated, with both aforementioned youngsters bringing energy to the middle of the park.
