Celtic supporters celebrate manager while chaos reigns across the city

Naturally, Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou winning Manager of the Month has been coincidentally timed.

For sure, he deserves it. Celtic went unbeaten through October, including away wins over Aberdeen, Motherwell and Hibs. The gap at the top of the table has closed, and Celtic look good value to reduce it further.

The style of the football has been excellent too. Ange’s Bhoys are still playing with incredible intensity and attacking verve. However, the defence has looked radically improved, with Celtic having still only conceded once at home in the league.

All very impressive. But it’s quite funny when you consider the chaos going on elsewhere. Steven Gerrard was being talked up as a Gers legend; now he’s most likely off to Aston Villa.

International break or not, Celtic look primed to go marching onwards. Our next game will be a belter; a Saturday night trip to Hampden against Callum Davidson’s St Johnstone.

Meanwhile, across the city, utter panic.

There’s no way Cinch, Glen’s Vodka, Ange Postecoglou, the SPFL or anyone else would’ve suspected their timing could have been so perfect.

But the fact remains: it was.

Celtic supporters respond to manager Ange Postecoglou’s accolade

Of course, the whole Celtic family were able to have a bit of fun in celebrating Postecoglou today.

Whether that manifested itself as photoshops par excellence, or insisting that Postecoglou is your Dad, the reactions were varied but the mood was the same.

Suffice it to say, Celtic supporters are enjoying themselves today.
