Celtic supporters’ clubs have been warned of a major matchday change before the new season has even started. The usual Emirates Coach Park will be unavailable for three matches because of the Commonwealth Games.
Alternative coach-parking options are still being finalised, leaving CSCs waiting for instructions before buses begin arriving at Celtic Park. The closure also stretches beyond Celtic’s two pre-season friendlies.
The timing means two of Celtic’s biggest pre-season fixtures will be caught up in the closure and it will continue into the opening night of the Premiership campaign.

Celtic’s next three home matches appear to be affected
Celtic host Middlesbrough on Saturday, July 18 before AC Milan visit Celtic Park on July 25. The Dundee game will be busier again as Celtic unfurl the league flag and begin their title defence.
The SLO has confirmed that those are the games that will be affected.
Middlesbrough and AC Milan will attract sizeable crowds as Martin O’Neill prepares his squad for the season ahead. Dundee then visit Celtic Park one day after the Games finish.
Celtic supporters face wider Games travel disruption
The Commonwealth Games run from July 23 until August 2, with thousands of visitors travelling across Glasgow. The Glasgow International Arena will host gymnastics and track cycling directly across London Road from Celtic Park.
The Middlesbrough fixture takes place five days before the Games officially begin, although no reason has been given for the early closure. Dundee then arrive one day after the Games finish, showing how long the venue restrictions appear set to remain in place.
The Commonwealth Games have taken the Emirates Coach Park out of Celtic’s hands. CSCs now need the replacement arrangements confirmed quickly so buses are not left searching for somewhere to go on matchday.
