It’s easy to get swept away on a wave of optimism at Celtic right now. Let’s be honest it was always going to happen.

Having shelled out over £500 for my season ticket, I was never going to sit here all summer and feel miserable about the Bhoys. It staves off buyer’s remorse if nothing else.

I get that an air of protest remains amongst some sections of the support. We’ll give that a fair hearing on 67 Hail Hail as always. When it comes down to it we’ll keep a critical eye on the club and make sure the important questions are being asked when we get the chance to ask them.

Really though, right now, I’m just here to for the good vibes emanating from the club. Having spent so long being angry and miserable with all aspects of the running of , I’m thrilled to see videos of Ange Postecoglou charging about Lennoxtown screaming, “GOOD BARKY!”

I’m also delighted to see it connect with the online support and bring back a bit of passion and positivity.

Celtic knew exactly what they were doing releasing that class video on their platforms yesterday. That’s fair. They have to project an air of confidence always.

Getting an insight into training and Postecoglou’s methods was exactly what was required ahead of a pre-season trip to Wales. It was actually a very clever move by the media department.

Celtic supporters loved Ange Postecoglou video

Fans loved it. They loved the effort, the attitude and the nicknames for players. Barky, Albi, Welshy – I’m sure these names existed in the squad prior to Ange’s arrival but the way he belted them out across the pitch was brilliant.

On Vasilis Barkas, the aforementioned ‘Barky’, it would be really great if he could prove to be a number one goalkeeping choice this season.

We know he failed to settle last year, we know he struggled on occasion. However, we also know he was an international class shot-stopper prior to his move to Celtic and must have ability to tap into.

If Postecoglou can do that, it’d be a great sign that things are changing for the better at the club.

Fans were loving ‘Barky’ in the training video, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on it all this weekend…
