Celtic supporters praised after phenomenal donations

Celtic supporters have drawn praise from Celtic FC Foundation and the Glasgow NW and NE Foodbanks after an incredible response to a food drive plea.

Celtic haven’t been able to host an in-person food donation event for over two years due to the pandemic and fans were asked to support the endeavour throughout last week in the build-up to the match against St Johnstone.

Pictures posted by the Foundation show hundreds of bags of foods and other much-needed items left outside the stadium on The Celtic Way.

The NE and NW Foodbanks also posted on Twitter, showing the donations sent to their individual centres and sending thank yous to everyone involved in yesterday’s efforts.

And you can still get involved if you missed the opportunity to donate yesterday.

Supporters can donate whatever they can afford eg £10, £20, £30, etc via this link with funds raised covering the cost of food and essentials, which along with what was collected on Saturday, will be provided to those most in need of our support, via Glasgow North East Foodbank and Celtic’s other Football For Good Fund charity partners.

It’s fantastic to see the power of the Celtic and St Johnstone supports able to be harnessed in person once again after so long with matches behind closed doors.

Supporting Celtic is not just all about attending football games but helping out the club and Foundation when they send out pleas for help, if you’re able.

In other news, We could be about to see the surest sign yet of Celtic progress under Ange.
