Celtic supporters in England today have demonstrated their class and fair nature by helping stranded travelling Bodo/Glimt fans make tonight’s match at Celtic Park.

It seems making the journey from the Arctic circle to Glasgow is no mean feat. A group of Bodo/Glimt fans apparently managed to find themselves in the midst of travel difficulties earlier today.

However, members of the Preston Emerald CSC have come to their aid, per Twitter user @1967SMG, giving them a lift to Paradise this evening so they can cheer on their team.

It’s unclear what incident befell the group of Norwegians, but thankfully their money and effort have not gone to waste.

Glimt’s stadium only has a capacity of 7,000, situated in a town with a population of just 50,000. So we won’t be expecting thousands to descend on the East End of Glasgow.

Nonetheless, a hardy band of die-hards will make their way to the famous stadium in opposition to 55,000-plus Celtic supporters. Celtic say just a handful of tickets remain for tonight’s match.

That should create an exciting atmosphere, especially with the Green Brigade section re-opening in the wake of Sunday’s closure against Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup.

Bodo/Glimt have been no pushovers in Europe this season, even away from home. In fact, they managed to pick up a 2-2 result away to Roma in the Europa League group stages.

Celtic will be hoping to harness the energy of a busy Paradise and give them something to think about in their first competitive match for two months.
