Celtic manager Neil Lennon probably won’t see any cash from the Kieran Tierney deal until Champions League qualification is complete.
The Hoops sadly sealed the £25 million move with Arsenal last night.
Fans will want to see the vast majority of the record breaking fee going back into the team.
However, if qualification to the premier competition isn’t determined, the money will most likely be used to ease costs.
Celtic may rely on Kieran Tierney fee
Celtic are facing a tough time of it to get into the Champions League proper.

Their chances are in the balance with nothing separating the Hoops and Cluj.
Passing this round will see the final round be even more difficult against Slavia Prague.
Fans are more than familiar with the standard process if the club doesn’t make the group stages. A high player is sold off for big bucks to replace the big money the club would have received.
Due to the English transfer window shutting earlier, the Hoops were arguably forced to gamble on Tierney.

However, the club will need to wait until qualification is assured and a further £30 million is guaranteed. In that case it’s a whole different story as The Bhoys will have at least £55 million coming in.
Celtic have no excuses not to spend
Peter Lawwell and co have no place to hide if the team qualify this time round.
The amount coming into the club will allow Lennon to build and bring better players in.

There are still question marks over the defence and the left side of the midfield.
With Tierney gone, at least two left-backs must be brought into replace him and one of them must be European quality.
The club can go on about hotels and training grounds, however, without investment in the team it’s all for nothing.
The pressure is on the team and the board to make it this time.
