Celtic are involved in the latest Masters Football series this year, which is set to take place on November 14th in Aberdeen.
Since the six-a-side competition’s rebrand, the Bhoys have fielded a team across two separate years and won last year’s trophy after victories over Rangers, Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian.
This year, the tournament will be hosted live in Aberdeen’s P&J indoor arena rather than Braehead, taking the chance to see some former club legends on the road around Scotland.
Coming in as some good news for North East-based Celtic fans, there were notable problems with the pitch last year, so hopefully, there will be no repeat of that this time around.
With excitement growing ahead of the Masters returning, details have emerged regarding who will be playing for Celtic and where fans can catch all the action.
Celtic team announced for Masters Football 2024
BBC Scotland’s Sportscene will hold live coverage of the Masters Football tournament for a second year running after airing the battle of Scottish football legends in 2023 [BBC Scotland].
More importantly, Celtic fans will be keen to see who will be charged with retaining their title in Aberdeen against Rangers, Aberdeen, and Dundee United.

The Celtic line-up for Masters Football is as follows: Stiliyan Petrov, Scott Brown, Charlie Mulgrew, Simon Donnelly, Gary Hooper, Darren O’Dea, Joe Ledley and Michael McGovern.
Plenty of panache can be seen in midfield and attack, with Scott Brown likely to prove a popular addition that will draw plenty of attention.
Cultured defender Charlie Mulgrew makes his bow and is likely to be a little fitter than the others, having only stopped playing competitive football a short time ago.
Stiliyan Petrov adds a rich pedigree in the engine room, while Michael McGovern comes in between the sticks. Gary Hooper, Joe Ledley, Simon Donnelly, and Darren O’Dea have retained their places from last year.
Some tasty clashes lay in store for Celtic. If you are around the Aberdeen area in mid-November, why not go along, relax and enjoy the nostalgia of some Hoops legends rolling back the years against fierce opposition!
