Manager Ange Postecoglou has named his Celtic team vs Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership, per the official club website.

The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI – Hart, Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Taylor, McGregor, Hatate, Rogic, Abada, Maeda, Giakoumakis.

Substitutes – Bain, Bitton, McCarthy, Jota, Johnston, O’Riley, Forrest, Welsh, Juranovic.

Derby wins are only meaningful if you follow them up with another three points. That’s the old cliche but it’s very true. That’s the task for Postecoglou and his team today.

This is a huge match away from home after the highs of Wednesday night. Today is a test of focus and gut check on Celtic’s ability to hold a lead at the top of the, with Rangers playing later in the day at Ibrox.

Postecoglou has made three changes to his team, but they may not be the ones you expect. Josip Juranovic drops out for Anthony Ralston while Daizen Maeda comes in for Jota.

Meanwhile, Tom Rogic returns to the team from international duty, replacing Matt O’Riley.

Instant reaction to Celtic team vs Motherwell

Ange Postecoglou is making bold changes today.

The decision to bench Jota and Juranovic, two of our best players, will raise eyebrows. However, you can see his thinking after the energy expelled on Wednesday night and another big league game this coming mid-week at Pittodrie.

He is managing his squad in the way he feels is best without diluting the quality of the eleven too much. For me, there’s plenty of weaponry in that team to do the damage against Motherwell.

The bench is also very, very strong should we need it.

Ultimately Postecoglou is best placed to analyse the fitness and readiness of his squad. Three points are a must today and that eleven can get the job done.
