Celtic are set to unveil the brand new 2023/24 home kit, manufactured by Adidas, on Friday.

The club have already released next season’s away offering, which got rave reviews from many supporters. The home top could be a bit more divisive.

A Tweet published this evening confirms the leaks and rumours surrounding the home top [Footy Headlines]. There will be a radical design within the green hoops themselves, with black Adidas branding on the shoulders.

There’s a nod to the club’s history too, with the famous red badge and Celtic cross featured on the back just below the neckline.

The design weaved through the green hoops is thought to be a reference to the stained glass that sits within the Main Stand at Celtic Park, existing from the old stadium before it was entirely rebuilt.

A date for sale is not yet apparent but that information will assuredly come on Friday when Celtic go full force with promotion and marketing.

It remains to be seen how big a seller this is. Online reviews of the design have been mixed and it’s far from a universal smash hit with fans.

For those left underwhelmed by the new design, it’s thought that the club and Adidas are releasing a far more traditional special edition of the green and white hoops later this year.

Adidas gear has sold really well since the partnership was introduced – whether it’s official kits, fashion lines or training clothing. Everyone at the club will be hoping fans warm up to the new look top and continue with their immense backing.

In other news, Celtic are flexing their City Group connections again.
