It’s crazy to think what has unfolded at Celtic, months after Brendan Rodgers left the building.
The manner in which Rodgers left Celtic on that Monday night in October was a surprise, and many were raising their eyebrows again when he turned up in Saudi Arabia for a new job.
The Saudi Pro League has been building up its profile in recent years, signing some of the biggest names and stars, even Jota left Celtic to join Al-Ittihad in 2023.
But Rodgers’ call to become the manager of Al-Qadsiah was rather interesting, and an unlikely source, Craig Moore, shared an insight into how they are playing.

Let’s not be kidded, Celtic were playing some rotten football under Rodgers. Mainly the second half of last season, and the start of this current campaign.
The biggest sign of that was Celtic’s performances against Kairat Almaty in their Champions League qualifiers. Imagine if that were different?
Nonetheless, speaking on Go Radio, Moore shared that he was in Saudi Arabia to watch Al-Qadsiah in action, and explained that Rodgers has already had an ‘influence’ on the team.
“Even in Saudi Arabia, I got to watch Brendan Rodgers’ team, Al-Qadsiah,” said Moore. “Al-Qadsiah against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
“By the way, they won the game. And he has them playing well. He has them going on a good bit of form. They are winning games.
“But it’s early doors. You could still see the influence Brendan has on that team.”

To nobody’s surprise, Rodgers is unbeaten, his team is scoring goals for fun, and they are making a late charge up the Saudi Pro League table – Al-Qadsiah are fourth, six points off leaders, Al-Hilal.
Celtic’s Treble-winning coach has already come up against some star-studded teams, including beating Al-Nassr.
Either way, Rodgers is doing what he does best.
