Celtic are winning games of football again, and it’s a relief for all the supporters.
Only until the season ends will everyone get a true reflection of how much damage the Wilfried Nancy era caused Celtic.
Thankfully, nothing is won in January, because right now, Celtic are third in the Premiership, and trying to fight their way to the top.
Things are more rosy in Europe. Celtic secured a play-off spot in the Europa League on Thursday evening, after beating Utrecht, as Nancy’s nightmare reign was brought up on American TV.

The stats are damning…

Wilfried Nancy’s Celtic ‘regret’ after Martin O’Neill guides Hoops to Europa League play-off spots
Make no bones about it, Celtic would have been eliminated under Nancy, and probably been further behind in the title race in Scotland.
But that’s where O’Neill’s genius, simplicity and strong man-management skills have lifted the mood in Glasgow again.
Speaking on CBS Sports, Charlie Davies stated that Nancy will ‘regret’ changing so much so soon at Celtic, given what O’Neill is doing.
The former USMNT international thinks Nancy should have kept O’Neill on board for a little longer, rather than trying to change things so quickly.
Davies was asked, ‘What do you think Wilfried Nancy is thinking right now?’ “Ooof, that’s a tough position to be in,” responded the American.
“I think he’s thinking, ‘I regret the way that I approached this job.’ Not so much, ‘I regret taking the job.’ You back yourself.
“But he is probably looking at this, and ‘this is a rookie mistake. I came in, and I tried to do too much too soon. I should have just allowed them to play and carried on with Martin O’Neill.’
“Maybe still have him involved. Keep Martin O’Neill involved. Although they moved on from him. I still would want you here. You have done a great job with the squad; maybe watch a little bit before taking over fully.
“You have got to be smart in this situation.”
The player that has impressed the most since Martin O’Neill’s return is…
