Celtic have made a grand total of ten signings this season over the last two transfer windows.
Brendan Rodgers got busy over the summer as the Celtic manager added the likes of Arne Engels, Auston Trusty, Paulo Bernardo and Adam Idah to his Hoops first-team squad.
Kasper Schmeichel also filled the gloves of Joe Hart as Viljami Sinisalo was brought in as a Celtic backup for the big Dane.
Luke McCowan and Alex Valle were also added in the summer with Jota and Jeffrey Schlupp completing Celtic’s recruitment for the season.
However, Peter Grant has told Celtic that out of those ten players, Brendan Rodgers has signed a ‘wonderful’ player and, surprisingly, it’s not the Portuguese winger.

Peter Grant delivers the ‘biggest compliment’ to new Celtic signing Jeffrey Schlupp
Jeffrey Schlupp is the player who Grant was raving about after the Celtic hero revealed that the 32-year-old has impressed him at every club he has played for.
Grant told Celtic TV, “Every time I’ve seen him he’s played well, wherever he’s played. That’s the biggest compliment.
“He’s played left back. I’ve seen him playing wide left, I’ve seen him playing central midfield. You know, he’s got great energy, he’s got a lot of power about him as well.
“And the great experience of winning the Premier League in a very good Leicester side at that particular time.”
Jeffrey Schlupp branded a ‘wonderful signing’ for Celtic
Grant goes even further and says that whilst Schlupp has been brought in as cover for Greg Taylor, he has so much more to offer Celtic.
Grant continued, “But he was a big part of it, you know, he was a massive part of that [Leicester] team, and it seemed a special bond that he had.
“I think it’s a wonderful signing and it gives us that help with Greg. Because, you know, I’m a big supporter of Greg Taylor, but he just doesn’t play there.
“I think he can affect the game in other areas of the pitch as well. So he definitely brings experience and quality.”
Schlupp made his Celtic debut in the win against Dundee as the Ghananian international got the last 18 minutes of the 6-0 rout.
In that time he won 50% of his tackles, made three defensive actions and three ball recoveries. Schlupp even managed a shot on goal as Fotmob rated his cameo at 6.9.
It’s a decent start to his Hoops career and fans will be hoping to see more of the kind of player Grant has just described in the last half of the season.
