Former Norway striker Jan Aage Fjortoft has told Celtic to take a look at Bodo/Glimt manager Kjetil Knutsen, before Dutch club Ajax come in for him.
Ange Postecoglou is on the brink of being announced as the new Tottenham Hotspur boss and the Bhoys have kickstarted a search for his replacement.
Brendan Rodgers and Jesse Marsch are among the reported candidates but Fjortoft, who won dozens of caps for his country and is a prominent pundit in his homeland, reckons Knutsen should be on the list.

He said, on Twitter: “Dear Celtic, Understand you need a new manager! Check out Kjetil Knutsen at Bodø Glimt here in Norway. Clear philosophy, playing attractive football, success in Europe and is in general a good lad Ps! Been linked to Ajax as well so maybe hurry up.”
Knutsen is well known to Celtic having masterminded victories over the Bhoys as manager of Bodo in the UEFA Europa Conference League during the 2021/22 season.
He’s won two league titles with the Norwegians and taken them further in Europe than their status and budget would suggest they could reach.
MORE CELTIC STORIES
The 54-year-old certainly has an exciting, interesting profile and looks primed for a bigger job somewhere on the continent. As Fjortoft says, he’s been heavily linked with a move to Ajax in recent weeks.
Hopefully Celtic are casting the net far and wide for a Postecoglou replacement, with the club in an incredibly strong position to recruit well in the coming days. We await further updates on who the prime contender for the Celtic Park hot seat is.
