Rangers getting back into the title race now means Celtic would have to lose at least three games.
On top of that, the Ibrox club would also need to go unbeaten for the rest of this season if they are to have any chance of catching, never mind overtaking, Celtic.
Brendan Rodgers has a nine-point lead over Rangers with only Hearts offering Celtic any kind of title race this season.
However, with Russell Martin under serious pressure and Rangers fans wanting him removed, Ross McCormack has told Celtic what could happen with the title race if the Ibrox club let Martin go.

Celtic told the title race could be on if Rangers sack Russell Martin
It seems a bit hard to see but McCormack believes that if Rangers did dispense of Russell Martin, he believes the title race could be back on.
McCormack told Open Goal, “They’re out of the Champions League. They are more or less out of the league, if we’re honest.
“If you were to then add in that, they’re going to be out the League Cup as well, no wins.
“I think if they were to change the manager round about now, I don’t think Celtic are great shakes right now, I think there’ll be more of a chance to catch Celtic if they made the decision and change managers.
“Now, I think, if they let it go any longer, I can see Celtic stretching that lead even further.”
Ross McCormack’s title race Celtic/Rangers prediction is very hard to see
As previously said, it would be very difficult to see any manager come in and turn Rangers around to mount a serious title challenge to Celtic.
Brendan Rodgers would have to facilitate an almighty collapse in form at Celtic and allow them to lose to all three Glasgow Derbies as well as one or two other fixtures.
That would mean Rangers could not afford to drop a single point from now until the end of the season and even the most hardened Ibrox supporter would concede that a Celtic collapse of that proportion, alongside a Rangers winning streak, is very unlikely to happen.
