With the transfer window just around the corner, plans are being accelerated to see if Celtic can add to their squad.
Wilfried Nancy’s imminent arrival presents an opportunity for the Frenchman to bring in some of his own players so that he can stamp his style on the Hoops.
It seems as if Celtic are more focused on younger options, with Irish youngster Michael Noonan among those linked.
The U20 World Cup was a place where they cast their eye on many talents, including one in the Championship.

How many signings do Celtic need in January?
Othmane Maamma scores for Watford against Birmingham City
67 Hail Hail revealed that Celtic liked the look of Othmane Maamma after an impressive U20 World Cup that saw him named as the Golden Ball winner.
That’s an accolade won by the likes of Sergio Aguero in the past, and shows the talent he has on offer.
Maamma only joined Watford in the summer so wouldn’t necessarily be available in the short-term, but has shown what he is capable of.
He bagged for the Hornets in their 2-1 loss against a Birmingham City side that left Kyogo Furuhashi as an unused substitute.
His goal was scored just after the hour-mark to reduce the deficit, but they were unable to find an equaliser and fell to defeat on the road again.

How many signings do Celtic need in January?
The January window has always been a difficult market to operate in and that won’t change despite the arrival of Nancy.
With some players heading off to the Africa Cup of Nations, there may be a temptation to bolster the attacking line.
Daizen Maeda may also try to leave again, which would leave the Bhoys short.
There is also an argument to say that the midfield could do with an extra body as those outside of the usual starting three have failed to make any sort of impact.
If two, even three, signings came through the door that would prove to be a successful window.
