Celtic heroes have been indulging in American history and culture on their trip across the Atlantic.
Earlier this week the full travelling squad visited the White House to take in a tour and pose for photo opportunities.
Basketball games have been arranged within the squad, while players have been enjoying sights out and about in Washington DC after their morning training sessions.
There was more of it on Friday night as Major League Baseball side Washington Nationals welcomed representatives of the club as guests for their match-up at home to the Cincinnati Reds.
Manager Brendan Rodgers, captain Callum McGregor and USA international Cameron Carter-Vickers were all in attendance to watch the NL East side pick up an 8-5 victory.
Celtic brand promoted to a new audience
The Nationals jokingly apologised to DC United on social media ahead of the two ‘soccer’ sides facing off on Saturday night.
Rodgers swapped jerseys with star pitcher Tanner Rainey ahead of the first pitch as the trio enjoyed a quintessential American experience.
It’s been fun to see Celtic enjoy their summer trip and promote the club’s brand to new audiences in conjunction with intense pre-season workouts.
Celtic posted further behind-the-scenes footage of the visit on their own social media accounts, thanking the MLB side for their hospitality.
Major League Soccer fans will get a good look at the Bhoys on Saturday night with a strong crowd expected for the match against DC United at Audi Field.
Celtic will then head to North Carolina to face Manchester City before visiting the iconic Notre Dame University in Indiana for a match against Chelsea.
No doubt there will be plenty more events and activities on the schedule as the club makes the most of a rare trip to the country.
