Celtic’s visit to the White House shows the nine academy players Brendan Rodgers took on the US Tour

Celtic’s 2024 USA Summer Tour will give the fans to see the team take on some real quality over the coming ten days.

DC United, Manchester City and Chelsea await Brendan Rodgers and his team and with Viljami Sinisalo the only new face to be added so far, the Celtic team that will face this trio is set to have a familair look about it.

Or is it? Because as we all know, pre-season is a great opportunity for the Celtic manager to take some youngsters who are on the cusp of the first team and give them some game time to show what they are made of.

And it seems that that is exactly what Rodgers has done.

Rodgers set to give Celtic youth a chance

Celtic shared a post on social media last night showing the team’s visit to the White House in Washington DC.

And as the full squad posed in front of the iconic building, the picture showed nine academy youngsters the Celtic bos has taken with him on the high-profile trip.

Obviously it is hard to make out from this picture who the players are so we will give a run down and description of where they are in the picture.

Starting from the left hand side of the photo, young Ben Summers is tucked in behind goalkeeper coach, Stevie Woods.

Just to the right-hand side of John Kennedy’s head we have Francis Turley and Jude Bonnar. Hiding behind Hyeokkyu Kwon in the centre of the picture is on-form, Bosun Lawal.

Dane Murray is just above Nicolas Kuhn’s head as we we move towards the right of the picture and then we have Tobi Oluwayemi, Josh Dede and Matthew Anderson sitting just to the right of Mikey Johnston.

And last, but not least, we have young goalkeeper, Josh Clarke, hovering over Tomoki Iwata.

The Celtic fans will be looking forward to the clash between DC United and hoping to catch a glimpse of the young Hoops’ as they bid to impress Brendan Rodgers over the next ten days or so.
