Celtic winger Lewis Morgan is getting closer to becoming a starter for the club.
The Scotland youth international is breaking into the team this season. A few starts and sub appearances show that he is in Neil Lennon’s plans for the future.
However, there are two major areas where the former Sunderland loanee must improve on.
Lewis Morgan can be permanent Celtic starter
The 22-year-old is arguably in limbo at the moment on his Celtic future.
He arrived last season and talked up a good game but was loaned out to the Mackems.

Morgan returns clearly a better and more rounded players as shown by his appearances.
Nevertheless, there are areas that he needs to brush up on.
Firstly, Morgan must be aware of his major strength which is his ability to be direct. However, he doesn’t do this enough during matches where the team needs a pick-me-up.
Against Rennes he showed fans what he is made of and supporters appreciated his direct approach.
Though, against Kalju he was restricting himself more often and whipping in the same predictable cross.

This brings to the forefront his next improvement required – his end ball. Morgan needs to look up when at the byline and provide the cross that is required.
Lewis Morgan needs to shake up end product
Too many times he decided on the drilled cross which was just hitting off the Estonian defenders.
Whenever there was a high ball, it was just all wrong – too high and the wrong decision ultimately.

There were other occasions where he would have been better with the shot.
The ex-St Mirren man needs to realise wingers need a variety of ideas.
He will be allowed to express himself whatever way he wants and shouldn’t leave himself to regret his play.
Morgan is one for the watching this season but there are clear improvements to be made.
