Maik Nawrocki has been giving the people at Celtic food for thought.
Nawrocki was loaned out to Hannover 96 after being deemed surplus to requirements.
The Polish defender was struggling to break into the first team at the start of the season but has become more of a mainstay at the back since the end of 2025.
Celtic fans have been left scratching their heads as to why he was never given a chance, especially with the lack of options in the centre-back position.
However, a freak back injury has threatened to derail his season once again.

Having been expected to line up in Hannover’s 3-1 win against Holstein Kiel at the weekend, eyebrows were raised when the former Legia Warsaw man was nowhere to be seen.
It later transpired that Nawrocki had suffered a freak back injury while getting changed, leaving manager Christian Titz to explain his absence.
“He felt a twinge in his back this morning when he was quickly changing his clothes” he told the media.
“The club doctor examined the player and he couldn’t play. At this stage, we don’t know how long he will be out for.”

Picking up an injury while getting changed is certainly a novelty, but nowhere near as bizarre as some that other players have had.
One includes former Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio having to miss a game due to picking up an infection while shaving his legs.
Another includes Rio Ferdinand being ruled out of a Manchester United fixture after straining his knee while resting it on a coffee table for too long when playing Pro Evolution Soccer.
Meanwhile, a Bolton Wanderers striker suffered a setback in his recovery from an issue with his ribs after sneezing too heavily according to manager Ian Evatt.
