The Celtic support will be treated to their own ‘Super Sunday’ on Sky Sports this weekend.
The broadcaster’s flagship football offering graces many living rooms around the country on most Sundays of the season.
It typically involves two games from the Premier League live on Sky Sports. One at 2pm and one at 4:30pm. The latter is often the headline fixture of the week.
Why am I telling you all this? You will know what the script is. And what’s the relevance anyway?
Well, as I covered in an article earlier in the week, Celtic are stepping into that 2pm (ish) slot this Sunday due to there being no early game from England. There’s a complex reason for it all, and you can read that in the linked article.
Anyway, our tasty clash away to Hearts will be shown on the channel with kick-off at 2:15pm. Not bad at all.

However, the broadcaster still has the lunchtime slot — that would typically have been taken up by our match — to fill. To do so, they’ve plumped for the Celtic FC Women‘s side’s fixture against Rangers.
That SWPL match at the Excelsior Stadium gets underway at noon and will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event — the same channel that will show the men’s game.

So, that’s a pretty wordy way of telling you that we have our own ‘Super Sunday’ of Celtic action this weekend. Two games — both meaningful — back to back. Sounds like an afternoon to be in charge of the remote.
