The majority of Celtic’s players have regrouped at Lennoxtown ahead of a training camp in Portugal, with Ange Postecoglou confirming the squad will fly out to Portugal on Sunday.

Celtic posted a video of the players not at the World Cup taking part in a training session earlier today. The manager also gave his first media conference in Scotland since the win over Ross County.

Postecoglou said: “We gave the players a week off, which I think was really good for them. They’ve come back into training today and look in good shape, in good spirits which is important.

“So far, it’s been a decent break. The important stuff starts now for us. We’ve got a two-week lead into our first game back. We had our first session today and we’re off to Portugal on Sunday. Hopefully, we get two weeks of good work in.”

Celtic are expected to be in Portugal for a week, which will culminate with a match against Ligue 1 outfit Rennes next Saturday – which looks likely to be played behind closed doors.

The Bhoys will then have a full week of additional training to prepare for the trip to Aberdeen on December 17th.

Despite having a nine-point lead in the Scottish Premiership, it’s vital that Celtic keep winning and get through the busy festive period without issues.

Thankfully the squad is in excellent shape with captain Callum McGregor returning to contention and no other injuries to regular starters reported.

We’re all set for an exciting December and January period that could further solidify Celtic’s standing as favourites to deliver multiple trophies by the end of May.
