Celtic will find out who they will face in the Champions League playoff draw this afternoon.

After Celtic lost to Aston Villa in the final Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night, Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers is set to find out who he will face in the next round in February.

Celtic placed 21st in the final Champions League standings and will face either Bayern Munich or Manchester City with the first leg set to be played in either Germany or Spain with the return match at Celtic Park.

So with that in mind, here is all you need to know about the upcoming Champions League draw including where and when the Celtic fans can watch the event live.

Celtic will be in the hat alongside 15 other teams from all across Europe for the Champions League playoff draw.

The Hoops will be unseeded which means Brendan Rodgers will pit his wits against teams that finished 9th-16th in UEFA’s final Champions League standings.

The draw will take place on Friday the 31st of January from 12pm CET (Central European Time).

Where Celtic fans can watch the UEFA Champions League playoff knockout draw

Celtic fans can watch the draw live and in full on UEFA’s official website with the event being beamed from the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

When Celtic will play their UEFA Champions League playoff knockout fixtures

UEFA have four dates scheduled in which the Champions League playoff fixtures will take place. The first legs will be held over the 11th & 12th of February with Celtic playing away.

The second legs will be exactly one week later spread over the dates of the 18th & 19th of February.
