Celtic’s win over Hibs was a stuffy one but it was one that stretched the Hoops’ lead at the top of the table to eleven points over Aberdeen.

The Bhoys beat Hibs 3-0 with the sixth-minute opener from Arne Engels and an own goal from Joe Newell in the second half put Brendan Rodgers’ side 2-0 up.

But it wasn’t always plain sailing for Celtic as Hibs did have their chances throughout the game to punish Celtic but they failed to do so and that had Easter Road boss, David Gray, leaving Celtic Park gutted and empty-handed.

However, the points were only really wrapped up when Kyogo Furuhashi struck to put Celtic up 3-0 and the superb goal was summed up by Hoops hero, Alistair Johnston’s reaction to the fine strike.

Alistair Johnston’s reaction to Kyogo Furuhashi’s goal vs Hibs will be shared by Celtic fans

Kyogo found himself on the bench as Brendan Rodgers named his Celtic team against Hibs from the one that beat Aberdeen midweek.

But when the Celtic striker finished his fine goal that put the Hoops 3-0 up, just watch what Alistair Johnston did as he congratulated his teammate.

The Canadian was clearly blown away by Kyogo’s touch and cheeky little dink over the Hibs goalkeeper that secured the win and three vital championship points.

Three of Kyogo Furuhashi’s most important goals for Celtic this season

Admittedly, in the grand scheme of things, Kyogo’s goal against Hibs wasn’t that important in terms of the result.

However, there are three other goals that the Japanese striker has scored that have had a huge impact on Celtic’s season so far:

Kyogo will, undoubtedly, score plenty more goals for Celtic this season but it will take something special to top this one against Hibs at Parkhead.
