Chris Jullien is staying positive throughout his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury, sharing new footage of his Celtic comeback on Instagram today.

Jullien is currently in France working hard on getting back to full fitness later this year.

The defender shared footage of some leg exercises on Instagram today, with his knee still in a brace after colliding with the woodwork against Dundee United in December.

A message accompanied it saying: “Setting new standards before a day off. #StayPositive #WorkInProgress”

Still months before we’ll see Jullien play for Celtic

Jullien has been a big miss in the heart of the Hoops defence this season. It’s an absence we’ll have to endure over the summer and into next season too.

After the Frenchman underwent surgery in January, former manager Neil Lennon confirmed he’d be out of action for a further six to nine months.

It means that the club will surely be looking for a couple of central defenders in the summer transfer window. They’ll need to be of real quality.

Not only does Jullien have to be replaced but Kristoffer Ajer may make an exit too. With Shane Duffy also returning to Brighton after his loan, we’re desperately short of defensive options.

In other news, a source close to Odsonne Edouard has refuted he will leave Celtic for £15m.
