God bless former Celtic striker Chris Sutton, he literally can’t stop trolling.
The lanky ex-Blackburn Rovers, Chelsea and Bhoys striker tapped in an open goal, of sorts, on Twitter. As news emerged that Celtic were named as a “team of the decade” by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics [IFFHS], Sutton couldn’t resist a dig at our fiercest rivals.
Vintage stuff from the ex-Celt.
It turns out, no: Rangers were not on the list. Barcelona topped the league table for the years 2011-2020, leading 139 other teams. Celtic finished 11th, just behind Arsenal and ahead of the likes of Liverpool, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund.
Sutton is an absolute tear this month. He’s already engaged in a beef with WWE wrestler Drew McIntyre. Between punditry duties, columns and dishing out patter on Twitter, there are more hours in his day than anyone else’s, it seems.
It’s rare that you see such lasting commitment to sh*thousery. Yet, Sutton’s second life as a popular pundit has seen plenty of controversy. Unafraid to challenge the orthodoxy at Celtic, he’s been most vocal in defending Neil Lennon for most of the season. That split the support a little, but we doubt any Celtic supporter will be annoyed at him for this latest act of trolling.

Chris Sutton gets a fantastic response
As surely as night follows day, Chris Sutton got a reaction out of folk.
The negative ones aren’t necessarily suitable for publication. However, here are the best responses from the Celtic support in response to another vicious act of villainy from the former striker.
